Bourn Vita Removed From ‘Health Drinks’!

Central government Orders for e-commerce companies :

Central government has given a nod to Bornavita and similar products. E-commerce companies have been directed to remove them from the health drinks category. The Center has taken this decision in the background of concerns that Bornavita contains half to half sugar.

The Union Commerce and Industry Department in its notification said that The Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act- 2006 does not define anything as health drink. Similarly, the FSS Authority of India said that there is no definition of health drink in the regulations submitted by Mandelez India, which owns many famous brands, including Bourn vita, Cadburry.

This matter was investigated by the National Commission for Protection of River Rights (NTPCR)!
Based on its recommendation, the Central government… ordered all e-commerce companies to remove Bourn Vita and other drinks from their portals from the category of “health drinks”. Revanth Himatsingka, who is known as a food farmer for decades, has raised concerns about Bourn Vita, which contains half of the sugar and cocoa solids and colorants, causing serious health damage to children’s.
